Deepika Padukone claims she’s a fantastic mimic; only husband Ranveer Singh and sister Anisha get to witness it

Deepika Padukone is one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood. Ever since she made her debut in Om Shanti Om (2007), it is rare to see any of her films be declared as a flop at the box office. What is the secret behind having such a vibrant professional front? Today, in an interview with news portal Tweak India, the 37-year-old talented superstar revealed that she is a fantastic mimic and only her husband, actor Ranveer Singh and sister Anisha Padukone can witness it.

Deepika told the news portal, “According to my husband, I’m a great mimic hidden in closet and has not been discovered yet. He thinks I’m waiting to be discovered. But I feel I can’t. I can’t mimic in front of cameras.”

“Also, when he puts me in the spot in front of people and makes me mimic someone, it does not happen. But, with my sister and my husband (alone), I’m a quick and fantastic mimic.”

Many social media users even recalled the latest season of Koffee with Karan – a chat show – in which Ranveer presented himself as a great mimic and mimicked popular Bollywood stars namely Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan and Kartik Aaryan.

Deepika and Ranveer, after years of dating, tied the knot in November 2018. Since then, the power couple have been ruling Bollywood with their films. Last, they featured together in a December 2022 film titled, Cirkus.

On the work front, Deepika will next be seen in Prabhas starrer film, Project K, and later in Siddharth Anand’s directorial, Fighter. Ranveer, on the other hand, will next be seen in Karan Johar’s directorial named Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
