Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s fans, gather here! In an exciting update today, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences posted a throwback video from the 2015 epic historical romance movie Bajirao Mastani. The film, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, featured Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Priyanka Chopra in key roles. Adapted from Nagnath S. Inamdar's Marathi novel Rau, Bajirao Mastani told the story of Maratha Peshwa Bajirao I (1700–1740) and his second wife, Mastani. This significant moment elicited a response from Ranveer Singh.
Sharing a post on Instagram today, The Academy shared a throwback video of Deepika Padukone dancing to the tunes of Deewani Mastani from the film Bajirao Mastani.

This post by The Academy Awards, commonly known as the Oscars, is now being loved by lakhs of social media users in India. Ranveer Singh has also dropped a heartfelt comment on the post. The comment read, “Mesmeric!” Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra Jonas are yet to react to the post.
It is worth noting that Deepika and Ranveer were dating each other during the shoot of Bajirao Mastani. Presently, the couple are married to each other and are expecting their first child soon. In February this year, the couple confirmed that Deepika is pregnant with their first child.
During the 95th Academy Awards in March 2023, Deepika Padukone appeared as a presenter alongside notable figures such as Halle Berry, John Travolta, and Harrison Ford. The diva took the stage to introduce the performance of Naatu Naatu - a song from the 2022 movie titled RRR. Amazingly, this foot-tapping song went on to make history by clinching the Oscar in the Best Song category, marking the first-ever win for a song from an Indian film in this prestigious category.
