Deepika Padukone’s ‘goth look’ at Paris Fashion Week proves she JUST doesn’t want to move past Cocktail’s Veronica

Deepika Padukone was recently seen donning a goth look at Paris Fashion Week. The actress has reminded fans of her character Veronica from the movie Cocktail. It is proof that the actress refuses to move past the one successful character that gave her career the jumpstart.

Deepika was seen at the Fall/Winter 2023-2024 ready-to-wear collection. She was styled by Shaleena Nathani.

The actress’ look at Paris Fashion Week is a flashback in her look from Cocktail song Angreji Beat. The track was a hit in 2012 but it looks like neither the actress nor her fans can move on from the year.

Deepika wore a black blazer dress with metallic button, a collared neckline and full-length sleeves at PFW. She paired it up with black lace stockings, black leather boots of knee length and a black handbag.

The actress was seen in a mini black dress in the glimpse from Cocktail. There, she was seen in shimmery wedges. The one similarity between the two are her unkempt hair. Although Cocktail was a more glam look, the PFW look was definitely on the goth side.

Deepika played the role of Veronica D’Costa in Cocktail. The movie also featured Saif Ali Khan and Diana Penty but Deepika’s character was the one which was most loved. The character helped kickstart her career after numerous flops at the Box Office in Lafangey Parindey, Break Ke Baad and Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey.

On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Pathaan opposite Shah Rukh Khan and John Abraham. The actress will now be seen in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter opposite Hrithik Roshan.
