The makers of Chiyaan Vikram's Mahaan released three deleted scenes from the film today, on the occasion of the 100th day of the film's release. Mahaan marked Vikram's 60th film and what's interesting is that it also had his son Dhruv teaming up with him for the first time. Three scenes were released today by the film's director, Karthik Subbaraj and since then they have been doing the rounds on the internet. The scenes are named Loneliness, Curse and Kin. 

Taking to his social media page, Karthik Subbaraj wrote,"#Mahaan - Deleted Scenes Deleted Loneliness - https://youtu.be/kUErKGyOACc Deleted curse - https://youtu.be/ijxMAt-Irl0 Deleted kin - https://youtu.be/BpBBCqvdx_E #100daysofMahaan #100daysofLivingBig (sic)."

While the scene Loneliness comprises Vani Bhojan, who was initially part of the cast but her portions couldn't not be completed due to the pandemic. It revolves around the relationship between Gandhi (Vikram) and Mangai (Vani). The second scene is about a protest at the liquor factory, where an old woman curses Sathyavaan (Bobby Simha). The last scene is about a conversation between Dadabhai Naoroji (Dhruv Vikram) and Gnanam's son.

Mahaan is a gangster drama that stars Bobby Simha, Simran, Aadukalam Naren, Sananth, Muthukumar and Deepak Paramesh. The movie revolves around the journey of Gandhi Mahaan, the son of a teetotaller, who goes on to become the king of liquor empire in Tamil Nadu. His struggles, challenges and the illegal path he embraced during his life forms the crux of the story.

The film had music by Santhosh Narayanan also had young actor Master Raaghavan of Sethupathi fame, as part of the cast. Produced by Lalit Kumar under the banner Seven Screen Studio.
