At the Delhi Belly press meet, Akshat Verma and Aamir Khan indulged in a tete-a-tete when speaking about the original film and its possible sequel. When asked about the second installment of Delhi Belly, Aamir said, “I would love that. I have been asking Akshat Verma to write it for the past so many years.” After receiving cheers, Akshat tried to play it safe as he said, “If I crack a story that doesn’t destroy the first film.”

Did Akshat Verma confirm Delhi Belly sequel with Aamir Khan?

On the very platform, Akshat ended up confirming that Delhi Belly will get a sequel. While the timeline of the film is still uncertain, the sequel is now officially confirmed and ready to be in the works soon. When Aamir Khan pressurized the writer to state yes or no, Akshat replied in an affirmative. “Accha haan, done hai,” Akshat finally submitted and laughed.

Another audience demand was that Delhi Belly should re-release in theatres. While giving it a thought initially, Aamir also agreed to re-release the original film in theatres in the meantime.
