Story:

Tanjiro, Tokito, Genya and Nezuko fight the demons in Swordsmith Village. This time, Tanjiro’s swordsmith Haganezuka comes as a huge surprise.

Review:

Episode eight of Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc commences with Tokito’s escape. He is faced with tough times as soon as he gets out of an unbearable situation. The point is, can he beat it all?

This time, you explore Tokito’s backstory in a little more detail. You get to explore about the Muichiro clan and Tokito’s brother Yuichiro through it. Although a little lengthy, the story gets you intrigued about the character who was one of the first to appear on Demon Slayer.

When Tokito is back in action, he is unstoppable and his charisma returns. The story of sacrifice and more, makes him more desirable.

The story begins and ends with him. You do miss Tanjiro a lot in this episode but Tokito’s story definitely has a link that will be revealed in the coming episodes.

Tanjiro and Nezuko return in the post-credit scene. So does Love Hashira, Kanroji. She is not shown in the best light, again but this one can be ignored to an extent.

Verdict:

This episode is all about Tokito. You will miss Tanjiro and Nezuko. More so, it is about Tokito’s past more than the present. That can get you disconnected from the series. Thus, if you like it, you could wait for the makers to drop the next episode and then catch up on this one.
