After its premiere at various film festivals, Manoj Bajpayee's movie Despatch has been locked for a digital release. Directed by Kanu Behl, the investigative thriller follows the story of Manoj as a crime journalist who goes to extreme lengths to break a story. Set to release on ZEE5, Despatch features Manoj as Joy Bag while Shahana Goswami plays his wife Shweta Bag. Now, the makers have introduced actress Arrchita Agarwaal's character Prerna.

ZEE5 shared the new poster of Despatch on its Instagram account. The new Despatch poster showcases Arrchita Agarwaal as Prerna who lives life on her own terms in the film. While sharing this poster, the streamer wrote, "Introducing @arrchita_ as Prerna- supportive, smart, and wants to live life in her own way Despatch premieres on 13th December, only on ZEE5 (sic)." In an official statement, Arrchita Agarwaal opened up about making her debut with Despatch. The actress said she is grateful to venture into acting with a film, co-starring Manoj Bajpayee and directed by Kanu Behl.

"Working on this film was a masterclass in direction and acting as Kanu sir and Manoj sir are absolute geniuses at what they do. Due to the generosity of both these men, I did not feel like a newcomer on set but instead felt very comfortable to go on shoot every day, make mistakes, and deliver my absolute best," said Arrchita. The actress added that team Despatch was encouraging and nurturing.

Produced by Ronnie Screwvala's RSVP Movies, Despatch also stars Ritu Parna Sen, Dilip Shankar, Riju Bajaj, and others in supporting roles. The film is scheduled for an OTT release on ZEE5 on December 13, 2024. You can also watch it with your OTTplay Premium subscription.
