Malayalam director Amal Neerad, who last helmed the film Bougainvillea, has announced his next film, Bachelor Party D’Eux. The Big B director made the announcement and shared the official title and poster. The film, which is the spiritual sequel to his 2012 film Bachelor Party, will be backed by actor-producer Fahadh Faasil and will start rolling soon.
Filmmaker Amal Neerad’s new movie titled D’Eux would be backed by Fahadh Faasil and Friends, the Aavesham actor’s production company. While making the announcement, Neerad also said that D’eux means “two” in French, and D’eux means “of them” or “about them” in French.
Malayalam actor Naslen, who was last seen in the blockbuster Lokah, is said to play the lead role in the film. Though the title D’Eux was revealed now, reports about the Bachelor Party sequel have been doing the rounds for a while. Social media buzz has been made that Soubin Shahir and Sreenath Bhasi could also be part of the upcoming film, with actor Tovino Thomas rumoured to be playing a cameo. However, there has been no official update on the cast of the film, and it is not known if Fahadh will make an appearance in the film, apart from producing it. Fahadh and Amal Neerad have collaborated on several films, including Varathan and Bougainvillea.
Though fans are excited to see the Bachelor Party sequel, some asked about Bilal, the long-delayed sequel to Mammootty’s Big B. Fahadh was last seen in Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira, which had a forgettable outing.
Bachelor Party is a popular 2012 Malayalam film, starring Asif Ali and Indrajith Sukumaran along with an ensemble cast. Noted writer Unni R had scripted the Amal Neerad film, which went on to win a dedicated fan following despite the mixed reviews.
