Shahid Kapoor's Deva saw poor footfalls on day 2 i.e. first Saturday

Shahid Kapoor's Deva has seen its first-ever downward graph within two days of release. The movie, which minted merely Rs. 5.5 crores on day one, saw even lesser footfalls on its first Saturday. In the first half of the day, Deva has struggled to keep pace. While it should have ideally earned over Rs. 5 crore, that is far from the case, at least in the first half of Saturday. With it, Deva struggles to mint even Rs. 10 crore on day 2, or barely just touched the number (the final Box Office collections will be revealed by tomorrow morning). Thus, the early trends suggest that the movie might end up being a flop. Here's the Box Office collection of Deva so far...
On the first half of day 2 i.e. first Saturday, Deva minted Rs. 3.78 crore, according to Sacnilk. After earning Rs. 5.5 crore on day 1, that takes the current total to lesser than Rs. 10 crore. Currently, the movie has minted Rs. 9.28 crore.
Deva is made on a budget of Rs. 80 crore. The majority of it should have been recovered over its first weekend for Deva to be declared a hit. However, it simply looks like the movie might struggle owing to the lesser footfalls. If only Deva picks up the pace on Sunday, then it might reach the desired number, as per the budget but the current trends suggest against it.
Even if Akshay Kumar's Sky Force is made on a higher budget and it took two weeks for the film to cross Rs. 100 crore mark, the movie has a higher chance of being declared a hit in comparison. It now needs to cross Rs. 60 crore at the Box Office (a feat that's achievable but depends on the Sunday numbers) to be called a hit. Meanwhile, Deva has to struggle and cross Rs. 70 crore more and with its current trend, that feat seems unlikely. But, it's too early to give a verdict and Sunday but especially Monday will give a clearer picture of the future of the two Bollywood movies.
