Devara box office collection first weekend: The Jr NTR starrer had a fantastic run at all the release centers across the globe, so far. When it completed the 3 days (first weekend) of its release, the Koratala Siva directorial reportedly crossed the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide. Even though, Devara has been underperforming in Kerala compared to the other Telugu big-budget ventures, the action thriller film has still achieved the breakeven in the state, just within the first weekend.

As per the recent updates from trade experts, Devara has made a total box office collection of around Rs. 2 crore from the Kerala box office, within the first weekend (3 days) of its release. It is indeed a disappointing box office figure for the Jr NTR film, compared to the performances of the previous Telugu big-budget ventures including Baahubali films, Pushpa, and Kalki 2898 AD. The mixed reviews and lack of word-of-mouth publicity have clearly impacted Koratala Siva’s film, in the state.

However, the recent updates confirm that Devara has still achieved breakeven in Kerala, just within the first 3 days of its release. In that case, it is safe to assume that the Jr NTR starrer has the chance to emerge as a profitable venture for its distributors. For the uninitiated, the big-budget Telugu action drama is distributed by Wayfarer Films, the home banner of popular actor Dulquer Salmaan, in Kerala.

All about Devara

The Koratala Siva directorial features Jr NTR in the role of the titular character Devara, a brave and righteous man and his son Varadha, who is nothing like his father. Saif Ali Khan plays Bhaira, the lead antagonist in the film, which stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead. Shruti Marathe, Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, Narain, Murali Sharma, Ajay, Kalaiyarasan, Abhimanyu Singh, and others appear in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music. R Rathnavelu and A Sreekar Prasad handle the cinematography and editing, respectively.
