Jr. NTR is one of the biggest stars in India, and after the phenomenal success of RRR, his stardom has soared globally. One country where his fan base has reached new heights is Japan. Recognizing this craze, the makers of his latest film, Devara Part 1, have decided to dub the film in Japanese.
As per the latest update, Devara Part 1 is set to release across Japan on March 28, 2028. To ensure the film gets maximum reach, Jr. NTR and director Koratala Siva are currently in Japan, aggressively promoting the release. A viral video of Jr. NTR performing the famous hook step of the Ayudha Puja song with a Japanese fan has taken social media by storm, thrilling fans worldwide.
In Devara Part 1, Jr. NTR plays one of the most intense and deadly roles of his career, and the film grossed over ₹500 crore at the box office. His portrayal of a middle-aged man was widely appreciated, and he will be seen in a dual role in the upcoming Devara Part 2. Janhvi Kapoor, who made her Telugu debut with Devara, is not part of the promotions in Japan, nor is the film’s music composer, Anirudh Ravichander, as he is currently busy working on Coolie.
Jr. NTR will next be seen in Prashanth Neel’s action-packed film, which is set to go on floors after the Ugadi weekend in March 2025. Meanwhile, Devara was co-produced by Jr. NTR alongside his brother, and the project turned out to be a massive financial success for them.
For director Koratala Siva, Devara marked a strong comeback after his previous film, Acharya, failed at the box office. He ensured Jr. NTR was showcased in an entirely new avatar, impressing fans and critics alike. It remains to be seen how Devara Part 1 will perform in Japan, but with Jr. NTR’s growing popularity, expectations are sky-high. Stay tuned for more updates.
