Srabanti Chatterjee set the dance floor on fire on Thursday night at a Kolkata restopub. It was the wrap-up party of Subhrajit Mitra’s Devi Chowdhurani: Bandit Queen of Bengal. A series of actors and actresses, including Prosenjit Chatterjee, Srabanti, Darshana Banik, Saurav Das, Bibriti Chatterjee, Debjani Chatterjee, and others, were present at the do. Director Subhrajit, singer Manomoy Bhattacharya, and others were also seen enjoying the party.

Srabanti and Prosenjit made a late entry. Prosenjit, who had been donning a bearded look curated for the film for the past few days was spotted in a new avatar. He looked dapper in a black T-shirt with cargo trousers.

Srabanti, who plays Bankimchandra Chattopadhyay’s iconic character Devi Chowdhurani, made an entry in a black high-slit gown. Along with Prosenjit, who plays Bhavani Pathak in the film, the actress interacted with the media and posed for photos. It was a little later when Prosenjit and the other actors left, Srabanti was seen stepping on the dance floor. Bibriti joined her initially. However, she left. Srabanti impressed the audience with her moves with Humma Humma. However, it was Kala Chashma that stole the limelight. She literally let her hair down and set the dance floor on fire with the song. You can check her video here.

Devi Chowdhurani also features Sabyasachi Chakrabarty, Arjun Chakrabarty, and others. Based on Bankimchandra’s seminal work, the film portrays the journey of Prafulla who emerges as a fierce bandit queen of Bengal. Subhrajot and his team shot the film in Bihar, Jharkhand, and other parts of Bengal. The film is scheduled to be released later this year.
