Dhaakad actor Arjun Rampal states he is privileged to choose quality over quantity at work

Arjun Rampal, who is preparing for the premiere of his upcoming film 'Dhaakad’, recently disclosed the reasons behind his script selection. He stated that he has gotten to a point in his career where the desire of quality motivates his scripts choice.

Speaking to the Times of India, Arjun said he is constantly looking for brilliant scripts and stories to work on. He said he has arrived at a point in his life when he wants to select and choose decent scripts rather than accept anything that comes his way.

He has reached a position where he has that opportunity and privilege to be selective, he continued.

The actor further spoke about his character in the movie. He plays the antagonist, named Rudraveer in the film, Dhaakad, who becomes merciless and evil after everything gets snatched away from him. As a result, he is defensive of what he has accomplished so far. He evokes a significant amount of devotion among his followers and is anti-system. His heart is evil somehow, but he does not really believe he's doing anything terrible because this is the environment he has established. When you get a persona like this to play, it's deadly and often frightening, Arjun Rampal added.

The film is led by Kangana Ranaut who plays the role of Agent Agni, a spy who tackles child trafficking and human exploitation. She's take on a brave and courageous character. Fans are excited since they have never seen her in intense action yet.

Dhaakad, which is helmed by Razneesh Razy Ghai, will be released in theatres on May 20.
