Divya Dutta is earning praise for her ruthless character Rohini in Dhaakad. Divya recalls her highest praise for the film Dhaakad, describing it as a purple patch in her acting career, while speaking to Hindustan Times.

She has two films out within two weeks, one of them being the Punjabi smash hit called Maa. She explains how both films, including her characters, are different from one another. She goes on to express how “amazing” it feels when the audience and other people in the industry compliment an actor on their performing.

"When people say things like ‘We wait for your films’, it feels nice. It makes things nicer to take on these different challenges and surprise yourself with others," she said.

She continued her interview and spoke about accepting a negative role of Rohini in Dhaakad. The actor did reply with no doubts "Not at all", as according to her "A role like this comes with a positive streak, a grey area and a negative side."

Divya also discusses how Rohini came to her spontaneously as she went in front of the camera. Remembering one moment, she said how she enhanced a scene without realising it, and no one objected since they liked her portrayal of Rohini, but there were times when the actress felt guilty.

She continued "This is because you know when you take on a character, you leave Divya aside and let the role take on. "

By the end of the interview, Divya hinted that she would potentially appear in action scenes alongside Kangana Ranaut and Arjun Rampal.

The actor explains how most of the difficult action sequences are performed by Kangana and Arjun, and she plays a somewhat unique character from them.

The actress has high hopes for this film because nothing like this has ever been seen before.

Dhaakad will release in theatres on May 20.
