Dhadak 2 has traces of Shahid Kapoor-Kiara Advani's Kabir Singh, but the more important thing is that the movie has a release date after 16 major edits from CBFC

Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri's Dhadak 2 official update is finally here! The movie, cleared from CBFC after 16 edits, finally has a release date. Karan Johar, currently making headlines for various projects, took to social media, to reveal the first looks as well. See them here...
Still remembered for spitting fire through his Gully Boy character MC Sher, Siddhant Chaturvedi brings the fire within him even to Dhadak 2. The actor holds his lover in a warm embrace while challenging the world with his eyes alone. The look is one that only a man in love (who wants to fiercely protect what is his) understands.
Triptii Dimri's character is rather too close to Kabir Singh's Preeti. She is heart-broken and does not want to leave her lover's warm embrace. She cries while in his arms, almost as if refusing to ever leave him alone, even when he tries to push her away. The actress, who made her debut with Poster Boys, is seen in a winter outfit, which adds to the cold vibe the Indian society gives to any woman who falls in love, mainly outside her caste. For that, the setting, clothing and the whole vibe fits.
Dhadak 2 is scheduled for August 1, 2025 release. The movie has undergone major edits, including political, caste, violence and even for the disclaimer (we would now see a longer disclaimer). For the uninitiated, Dhadak 2 is the sequel to Beyond The Clouds actor Ishaan Khatter and Janhvi Kapoor's Dhadak. The original film itself was the Hindi adaptation of Nagraj Manjule's Marathi blockbuster film, Sairat.
Karan Johar kept making headlines throughout the day for his OTT works. The filmmaker's web series Jet Set Go is touted to be on the backburner. Meanwhile, his upcoming show The Traitors has newer, exciting updates. This is apart from Karan's second collaboration film with Kartik Aaryan (Silvat) after Naagzilla, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, takes off in Europe.
