Isha Koppikar channelled her inner cop yet again for her latest web series, Dhahanam. But it seems that the actress herself is her biggest critic. Koppikar recently revealed that even after more than two decades in the industry, the actress still struggles to watch herself on screen sometimes. She also revealed one of her favourite sequences from Dhahanam.

In a conversation with TellyChakkar, Koppikar talked about how critical she can be about her own on-screen performances. As a result, she does not always watch all the films and shows. But despite this, the actress said that she tried to put her skills to the test as far as possible in her roles.

The actress also opened up about one of her favourite scenes from the series. Although it was hard to pick just one, the actress revealed that there was one scene in particular which involved a confrontation, where fans would be treated to a completely different avatar of her character.

In addition to Koppikkar, the series also features Naina Ganguly, Abhishek Duhan, Ashwatkanth Sharma, Parvathy Arun, Sayaji Shinde, Abhilash Chaudhary and Pradeep Rawat in pivotal roles. The crime thriller is directed by Agasthya Manju.

Dhahanam saw the actress reunite with filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma after a period of almost two decades. The two first collaborated together in the 2002 film, Company, starring Mohanlal, Manisha Koirala, Ajay Devgn and Vivek Oberoi. Koppikar had made a special appearance in the song, Khallas. Dhahanam marked Varma’s first web production.

Dhahanam, which premiered on MX Player on April 14, can be streamed on the platform in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil.

Koppikar is currently awaiting the release of her Tamil film, Ayalaan, which stars Sivakarthikeyan and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles. Directed by R. Ravikumar, the film marks Koppikar’s first Tamil project in almost 20 years.
