Playing a lead role in the Deepika Padukone starrer drama Gehraiyaan has earned Dhairya Karwa much recognition already. Though the film is yet to be out, it is sure to offer him a breakthrough, after his supporting roles in movies like Uri: The Surgical Strike and 83.
Karwa, who set off on his journey as a model, seems to have come a long way before he could cement his name in the industry. In a recent interaction with Firstpost, the actor opened up about his life before Gehraiyaan, and how he kept giving auditions whenever he learnt about a film.
“I avoid using the word struggle because it has a negative connotation to it,” he said. He would rather love to call it an aspiring stage where he has been putting all his efforts to make a growth in his career. “It is a growing and learning phase,” he continued. He also added that things are getting better and better for him, so that he is actually happy. The actor also revealed that he has been meeting filmmakers, and hopefully, there would be other big news to reveal soon.
Talking about Gehraiyaan, Karwa seems to be enjoying the attention he is getting for his performance, ever since the teasers and trailer were out. He also feels it is the right character, which he got after facing many rejections. He now believes that his hard days had something better to offer him. He also recalled that Gehraiyaan auditions had several rounds to go, which lasted for about a month. It had also given him an understanding about the movie, that it is definitely going to be ‘big’ with ‘big stars’.
