The latest thriller outing of Netflix also stars Mrunal Thakur, Amruta Subhash, Vikas Kumar and Vishwajeet Pradhan, among others in pivotal roles.
Kartik Aaryan has been receiving an overwhelming response for his performance as the TV journalist Arjun Pathak in the Netflix film Dhamaka. His fans have been pouring in wishes and comments on the film, which was released on the streaming platform on November 19. The makers have now released a reaction video of the actor to the fan comments and they are hilarious.
The video starts with Kartik, in the news anchor avatar, introducing what he is up to. Many praised the acting of the ‘Freddie’ star and also his dashing avatar in Dhamaka, as the immaculate journalist, to which he made a witty comment of his ‘software being upgraded.’ Known for his humorous persona in several of his movies like Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Pati Patni Aur Woh, he showcased the same comic sense as he continues reading the fans’ comments.
Talking about Dhamaka, it is the official remake of the Korean action-thriller film, The Terror Live which came out in 2013. The Kartik Aaryan starrer revolves around the consequences faced by a TV journalist after he interviews a terrorist who blew up a bridge. Helmed by Ram Madhvani, the thriller outing was earlier scheduled to hit the big screens but ultimately opted for a direct OTT release on Netflix. It opened to mixed reviews, where the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ star was lauded for his performance in the movie, but the film was criticised for its cliché plotlines and dialogues.
We will be seeing several movies of Kartik Aaryan next year. He is working on the sequel to the horror-comedy flick Bhool Bhulaiyaa helmed by Aneez Bazmee. His next outing Freddie recently wrapped up filming. He will be seen romancing Alaya F in the movie. He also has another movie with Kriti Sanon which is the official remake of the Allu Arjun starrer Ala Vaikunthapuramuloo.
