Once Upon a Time in Jamaligudda was earlier scheduled to release on September 9 but the makers chose to postpone the release for unknown reasons. It will release in Kannada and Telugu simultaneously.
Actor Dhananjaya has had quite an eventful 2022 with multiple theatrical releases to his name. From bona fide mass entertainers like Bairagee to moody romances like Monsoon Raaga, 'Daali' Dhananjaya has packed it all for his fans and to top things off, he also starred in and produced arguably his biggest film to date, Head Bush.
But that is not all because the talented actor has many more exciting projects in the release lineup and one such is the multistarrer Once Upon a Time in Jamaligudda, which now has a release date. Dhananjaya will conclude the year 2022 with Kushal Gowda's film which will release on December 30: the team Once Upon a Time in Jamaligudda took to social media recently to share the update.
The final week of December is supposedly a lucky week for Kannada Cinema and Daali would certainly hope to see off things on a high, considering the few hits-and-misses during the course. His first release of 2022, the Kannada-Malayalam bilingual, 21 Hours sunk without a trace despite his credible performance and both Bairagee and Monsoon Raaga could not make strong impressions either. His most promising film of the year was going to be Head Bush but due to mixed reviews and a few controversies post the release, the period gangster drama did not live up to the expectations it had set.
However, one does expect him to strike back with Once Upon a Time in Jamaligudda. The film, which also stars Aditi Prabhudeva, Prakash Belawadi, Nanda Gopal, Yash Shetty, Bhavana Ramanna, and child artiste Praanya P. Rao, boasts of an intriguing storyline that loosely falls in the love story/thriller genre.
