It was announced a couple of months ago that Telugu actor Satyadev and Kannada star Dhananjaya were slated to come together for a special project. The film, quite interestingly, marks both their 26th outings and with the two of them being highly promising talents in their respective industries, fans were curious to know more about this project.
And it would seem that the number 26 is quite special for the team which took to social media to unveil the title of the film on January 26th. Directed by Eashvar Karthic (of Penguin fame), Dhananjaya and Satyadev Kancharana's film together is titled Zebra.
The title-look poster of the film feature two fairy or Zebra chess pieces in contrasting white and black shades. 'Luck favors the brave,' reads the caption and while the storyline or plot of Zebra remains under wraps, the poster suggests that the two main characters in the film are caught in a face-off of some kind. The poster also features interesting elements like an aeroplane, a time clock, a currency note and also an explosion of some kind.
Another highlight is Ravi Basrur of Ugramm & KGF 2 fame joining the team as the music composer. Basrur, who has grown in popularity following the phenomenal success of K.G.F: Chapter 2, has become a sought-after composer across the country and his repertoire now also includes a Salman Khan project in the form of Antim: The Final Truth. He is also scoring the music of Kabzaa, Salaar, Salman Khan's next release Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, and Ajay Devgn's Bholaa, along with Zebra.
In his recent conversation with OTTplay (prior to the release of Head Bush), Dhananjaya shared that though he was swamped with work and had back-to-back projects lined up, Zebra director Eashvar Karthic's approach impressed him a lot which, eventually, made him give his nod. Zebra has been produced by the trio of SN Reddy, Bala Sundaram and Dinesh Sundaram with Suman Prasar Bage serving as the co-producer. Conceived as a Telugu film, it will additionally be released in Kannada, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam.
