If the buzz in the industry and reports are to be believed, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth, who announced their separation earlier this year, are planning to give their marriage another chance. Several reports claimed that the couple is planning to reconcile nine months after their decision to call it quits. Reports are that their families are pushing them to be together. However, both Aishwaryaa and Dhanush have not many official statements pertaining to the same.

Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth, director and daughter of Superstar Rajinikanth and actor Dhanush had taken the internet by storm when they announced their decision to part ways in January. In a similarly-worded statement, the couple had announced their separation and had asked everyone to respect their privacy. Dhanush's statement read, "18 years of togetherness as friends, couple, as parents and well wishers to each other The journey has been of growth, understanding, adjusting and adapting.. Today we stand at a place where our paths separate… Aishwaryaa and I have decided to part ways as a couple and take time to understand us as individuals for the better. Please respect our decision and give us the needed privacy to deal with this (sic)."

After the announcement of their separation, Dhanush and Aishwaryaa made their first public appearance as their elder son Yatra took his oath as the sports captain of his school. Singer Vijay Yesudas and his wife Darshana were also seen in the picture. Dhanush and Aishwaryaa tied the knot in 2004 and have two sons-Yatra and Linga.

On the professional front, Dhanush was recently seen in Selvaraghavan's paranormal thriller Naane Varuvean. The actor played dual roles in the film as Prabhu and Kathir. The brothers Selvaraghavan and Dhanush are coming together after a decade and expectations had soared from the film. He is now awaiting the release of Venky Atluri's Vaathi, which is scheduled to hit screens in December. Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth, on the other hand, is all set to make her Hindi debut with Oh Saathi Chal.
