There seems to be just no stopping Dhanush and Nithya Menen's heartwarming romantic comedy Thiruchitrambalam. The feel-good drama, directed by Mithran Jawahar, recently surpassed 50 days at the box office and fans are elated about the achievement. The film has been declared a blockbuster by trade analysts and it continues to rake in the moolah.


On the special occasion of completing 50 days, the makers have come up with a new announcement about the film. The team has announced that the video of the popular chartbuster Thenmozhi will be released to mark the milestone. The song featuring Dhanush and Nithya Menen will be released tomorrow.
Thiruchitrambalam, also has two other leading ladies as part of the star cast- Raashi Khanna and Priya Bhavani Shankar. The supporting cast also includes Bharathiraja, Prakash Raj, Munishkanth and Sriranjini. Music for the film is by Anirudh, who has made a comeback in a Dhanush film after a hiatus. 

Cinematography is by Om Prakash and editing is by Prasanna GK. Dhanush plays the titular character in the film, who is a food delivery agent. The plot traverses his many crushes until he finds his true love. The film, which opened to positive reviews, is now streaming on SunNXT.


In the meantime, Dhanush's psychological thriller, Naane Varuvean, which hit screens a week ago, has been receiving steady footfalls. The film, directed by Selvaraghavan, has Dhanush playing dual roles, one of which is a psycho killer. Naane Varuvean marks the comeback of the brother duo after a span of a decade.  The film received mixed reviews at the box office.


Dhanush, now has in his kitty, Vaathi, directed by Venky Atluri, which is slated to hit screens in December. The film is a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu ( The film has been titled Sir ). Dhanush plays a teacher who takes on corrupt practices in the educational system and tries to reform them. His character is titled Balamurugan and Samyuktha Menon plays the leading lady. Dhanush himself has dubbed for the Telugu portions and fans of the actor can't ask for more.
