The movie, which also has Selvaraghavan and Shine Tom Chacko as antagonists, is currently being shot in Chennai
Dhanush and Vijay – two of the biggest stars in Tamil – could be teaming up soon. Director Nelson Dilipkumar’s ‘mass’ action-entertainer Beast, which already has several stars from across industries as part of the cast, could get even bigger if Dhanush joins the team, according to reports.
Rumours are rife that Dhanush will be part of the movie and that too in an interesting role of an antagonist. Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the film will have three villains. While Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko and director Selvaraghavan were confirmed, the third actor was yet to be revealed. Reports suggest that Dhanush could be playing that part.
The casting coup almost rivals another similar venture – Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram that has Kamal Haasan in the lead with Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil roped in as antagonists. Big actors playing Vijay’s villains are not new as the superstar’s latest release Master had him going up against Vijay Sethupathi’s character.
It also remains to be seen the length of Dhanush’s role, if he is cast. The team of Beast has already finished shooting portions in Georgia and a schedule in Chennai.
Dhanush, meanwhile, commenced the shoot of Thiruchitrambalam last week. The movie, directed by Mithran, also has Prakash Raj and Nithya Menen as part of the cast. The superstar has completed the shoot of Atrangi Re and The Gray Man, which is directed by the Russo Brothers. The Hollywood film has him teaming up with Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling. Dhanush is also expected to shoot for Selvaraghavan’s next, Naane Varuven next month.
