The film, directed by Arun Matheswaran, has Dhanush and Priyanka Mohan playing the lead
The shoot for Dhanush's upcoming film, Captain Miller is in full swing. The latest we hear is that the team has moved to Tirunelveli to shoot the portions for the next schedule of the film. Dhanush is also said to have reached the southern town of Tamil Nadu. The film has an ensemble star cast including Doctor and Don actress Priyanka Mohan as the leading lady, along with Sundeep Kishan, Nivedhithaa Sathish, John Kokken and Elango Kumaravel to name a few.
The film, directed by Arun Matheswaran is set in the 1930s and the title announcement had revealed Dhanush's look in the film. He is not only seen sporting a beard but is also seen riding a bike and holding a gun in his hand. Arun Matheswaran had earlier revealed that he was quite impressed by Tom Hanks's character in Saving Private Ryan and hence, named the film, Captain Miller. The plot traverses more than a decade of Dhanush's character's life. It was only recently that the team released pictures from the puja ceremony of the film, and Dhanush's look in the video, in which he is seen in a traditional veshti-sattai went viral on the internet.
While the music for the film is by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography is by Shreyas Krishna and editing is by Nagooran. The film will be released simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi in 2023.
In the meantime, Dhanush is gearing up for his psychological thriller with Selvaraghavan, which is all set to hit screens tomorrow. The film has Dhanush in dual roles and Elli AvrRam marking her Tamil debut. Indhuja Ravichandran, too, will be playing a crucial role in it. Yuvan Shankar Raja has scored the music for the film. Dhanush also has in his kitty, Vaathi, directed by Venky Atluri. The film is a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu and will have Samyuktha Menon as the leading lady.
