Dhanush's Sir makes impressive numbers in three days, into profit zone

Dhanush is a massive star in Tamil Nadu and has a decent following across the other states in India. In Telugu states too, his dubbed films have always worked but now, things have gone to a next level as his new film 'Sir' has opened to very good numbers in its first weekend hereby expanding Dhanush's market in Telugu cinema.

One of the members of the trade has revealed to us that the film has already breakeven in just three days. It has grossed over 16 crores with its Telugu version which is quite impressive. Thanks to the songs and trailers, the advance bookings for the film were great and the makers also held paid premieres before the release. All this escalated into decent collections.

Whatever the film makes from today will be profits for the makers. Knowing Dhanush's market in Telugu, the pre-release was done in a very calculative manner and things have worked just fine for the makers, Trivikram and Sithara Entertainments who have produced the movie. Venky Atluri directed this film which is based on the miscrepacines in the education system.

In Tamil too the film has started well. Now that the weekdays have started, we need to see how Sir will hold its fort in Telugu states. The makers are holding a success meet today and this will help the film a bit with its collections. Samyuktha Menon played the female lead and GV Prakash has composed the film's music which was a super hit.
