Hungama Play has announced the cast of its upcoming show Dhappa. The comedy-drama is an anthology that narrates the tales of five couples and their secret love stories. The forthcoming show features some famous names from the TV industry including Abigail Pande, Sanam Johar, Krissann Barretto, Abhishek Kapur, Samridh Bawa and Mohit Duseja in leading roles.

Abigail, known for soap opera’s like Laal Ishq and Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka, spoke about her new show, adding that she was thrilled to act alongside her beau, Sanam. “I play the character of Anushka, who is celebrating her last Holi with her family before she gets married. However, things take a comical turn when she has to face an unexpected situation,” the actress revealed about her character. Sanam shared that Abigail was someone he looks up to and that he's thrilled to work with her in such a fascinating story.

The Kundli Bhagya and Kashmakash fame Abhishek said that Dhappa has twists and turns at situations when viewers least expect it. “In my story, Krissann and my characters try to find a silver lining in a tragedy and the viewers will find it amusing to witness a comedy unfold in a rather serious situation. I am excited to be a part of the show and look forward to the shoot,” the actor shared.

The ensemble cast also includes Monalisa, Jay Bhanushali, Smriti Khanna, Vishal Singh, Dishank Arora, Sakshi Sharma and Varunn Jain. The Anil V Kumar and Saket Yadav directorial will stream on Hungama Play.
