Dharmendra-Dimple Kapadia, Bollywood’s iconic pair, to reunite on screen after three decades

Bollywood veteran actors Dimple Kapadia and Dharmendra are all set to reunite for a film after 31 years, confirm reports.

Fans of the famous Bollywood pair Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia will finally get to see the on-screen pair come together after a long wait of over three decades.

The veteran duo, who have worked together on films such as Batwara, Saazish and Ganga Tere Desh Mein, among others. As per a News18 report, the duo has been roped in for Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s upcoming film.

As per the same report, Dharmendra has been shooting his single shoots in Rajasthan where the film is being shot. The entire crew has been shooting in Jaisalmer since December 15 and after wrapping up this schedule, the cast and crew will travel to the northern part of the country for yet another schedule, according to News18.

Interestingly, Kriti Sanon, who has paired up with Shahid Kapoor for the first time, will reportedly play the role of a robot in this sci-fi/fantasy drama.

It has also been reported that although Shahid and Kriti are working together for the first time, they are already bonding well. "It’s a fun film. So, the atmosphere on the set is humorous and charming. Dharmendra isn’t keeping too well and so, he doesn’t get to spend much time with the younger cast members. But it is worth applauding that even at 87, he manages to impress one and all with single takes,” stated the report.

In another news, Dharmendra will also be seen in Karan Johar’s directorial comeback Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. The film also features Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. Dharmendra will also reunite with his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol for family entertainer franchise, Apne 2. The sequel to Apne, which had also featured the father-sons, will see Dharmendra’s grandson Karan Deol joining the cast.

Recently, Dharmendra also announced his reunion with Johnny Gaddaar director Sriram Raghavan for Ikkis, alongside Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda.
