Producer-actor Ramkumar's grandson Dharshan Ganesan will be the latest to join the industry from the Sivaji Ganesan family

Dharshan Ganesan is the latest to join the film industry from the family of Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan. Dharshan is the grandson of Nadigar Thilagam Sivaji Ganesan and the son of producer Ramkumar.
Ramkumar, released a press statment to confirm the news. In the release, he said that people already know that his elder son Dusshyanth was a producer and actor. Now, his younger son, Dharshan Ganesan, is also ready to act. Dharshan has pusued an acting course in Pune. He is also well-trained. The statement revealed that Dharshan has received invitations from many companies to work with them and the announcement for the films will be made soon. It stated that just like his grandfather Sivaji Ganesan, who was a known stage artiste, before his entry into films, and Dharshan has also been part of many street plays in Tamil, Hindi and English.
Ramkumar's elder son Dusshyanth had made his debut in 2003 with the film Success, which was named after the first dialogue uttered by Sivaji Ganesan 'Success! Success!' in his maiden venture, Parasakthi (1952) and Machi (2004). However, both films tanked at the box office. In the meantime, the actor is all set to make his comeback with Shooting Star, which is said to be a dark comedy. The star cast for the film comprises Vivek Prasanna, Srinivasa Reddy, Ravi Kishan and Masoon Shankar.
Shivaji Dev, Ramkumar's son from his second marriage, too, had made his acting debut in 2008 with Singakutty. Vikram Prabhu, son of Prabhu, Sivaji Ganesan's younger son, has acted in a number of films with the latest being Taanakaaran. Now, Dharshan is the fourth from the generation to enter Kollywood. Though Ramkumar, too, had tried his hand at acting, it was his younger brother Prabhu, who tasted success in the industry with a number of hits to his credit.
