KTM, debutant director Aruna’s ‘intense’ love story featuring Dheekshith Shetty, Kaajal Kunder and Sanjana Doss, which was a Valentine’s Day presentation in theatres, along with 8-9 other Kannada films, is coming to TV. The film, which did not have a satellite or digital partner on board at the time of its theatrical outing, will get its TV premiere on April 21. The film will be telecast on Star Suvarna at 8 pm. There is still no news of the film’s OTT release.

KTM was Dheekshith Shetty’s first Kannada release since Dia, a film he was keenly waiting for, considering that he’d invested a lot of time and effort in playing a character, whose roughly 10-year trajectory is captured in the tale. Dheekshith knocked off a lot of weight to play a teenager, then piled it all back on and some more to play an older, more mature version and played around with varying lengths of hair on his head and face for the different stages of his character.

The film follows Dheekshith as Karthik, who first falls in love with Tanya (Kaajal Kunder), but she does not reciprocate his feelings, so, he moves on to Mercy (Sanjana Doss). Amid all this, though, Karthik gets entangled in a financial mess left behind by a friend who takes his life, unable to sort out issues. This, in turn, affects Karthik’s studies and relationships and almost ruins his life too. Whether or not he is able to turn his life around is what the tale is about.

Meanwhile, amid news of KTM’s TV premiere, there’s also buzz that Dheekshith’s sci-fi film Blink, will be on OTT shortly. Blink has been picked up by Amazon Prime Video, and should begin streaming any day now. The actor, who has a few interesting films lined up in Telugu, is currently working on a Kannada project called Bank of Bhagyalakshmi. There is another much-delayed film called Sheegrameva Kalyana Praptirastu, but besides these, the actor is yet to announce a new signing in Kannada.
