Dheekshith Shetty's sci-fi film Blink eyeing November release

Dia and Dasara star Dheekshith Shetty gets quite excited when he talks about one of his next releases, Blink. A sci-fi film directed by Srinidhi Bengaluru, Dheekshith’s long-time pal, the film is ready for release and the team has been trying to find the right window in which to bring it to theatres. Producer Ravichandra of Janani Pictures has now said that he is looking at releasing Blink after the second instalment of Rakshit Shetty’s Sapta Sagaradaache Ello comes out.

Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side has been announced as an October 20 release, which means that team Blink will probably target the first week of November. While that is still up in the air, what Ravichandra is sure of is that the film’s first single will be released next week, with August 15 the most likely date.

Blink will be Dheekshith’s first release since Dasara, which came out on March 30. The Telugu hit had given Dheekshith a good break, following which he had said that he was looking at taking one of his next Kannada films, KTM , to Tollywood as well. It is not clear if the actor will use his new-found fame to get Blink also a wider audience. The film, according to sources, has Dheekshith in the role of a backstage hand with a theatre group and follows certain incidents that happen in his life. The teaser of the film that came out earlier does not shed much more light on what the film is about.

Also on the cast of Blink are actors like Vajradhan Jain, Chaithra J Achar, Mandara Battalahalli, Suresh Anagalli, and Gopalkrishna Deshpande, among others. The film has cinematography by Avinaasha Shastry while Prasanna Kumar takes care of music.
