Dheeran: Devadath Shaji's debut directorial to hit the big screen soon

The makers of the Malayalam upcoming film, Dheeran, have dropped a new poster today (May 31). It has also been revealed that the movie will have a theatrical release in July. However, they are yet to confirm an exact date of release. So far, no other Malayalam film has been slated to hit the big screen in July.

Dheeran's new poster update

The second poster shows a glimpse into the lead actors in the movie. It has also hinted that the film would be a laugh riot with a stellar cast who is capable of handling humour in ease. The film's crew unveiled an amusing teaser with the cast members on March 6. The title poster for the movie was released back in June 2024. In the first poster, the main actors of the Dheeran is seen standing in front of an ambulance with four of them carrying a stretcher that has a white cloth-wrapped dead body. Further updates, including a release date as well as a trailer is expected in the coming days.

All about Dheeran

Following a schedule of 60 days, the makers of the movie announced on social media on January 11 of this year that filming had finished. After being the co-writer of Mammootty's blockbuster action drama, Bheeshma Parvam, Devadath Shaji is directing Dheeran. He has also worked in Kumbalangi Nights as an assistant director. Journey of Love 18+ fame Rajesh Madhavan, who was recently seen in Basil Joseph's Maranamass, is playing a pivotal role in the film, along with Siddharth Bharathan, Manoj K Jayan, Jagadish, Vineeth, Ashokan, Abhiram Radhakrishnan and Sudheesh. 

The film has been funded by Lakshmi Warrier and Ganesh Menon under the banner of Cheers Entertainments. This production company is well-known for producing films like Falimy, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, and Jan.E.Man. Mujeeb Majeed, of Kishkindha Kaandam fame, composed the film's soundtrack. Dheeran's cinematographer is Harikrishnan Lohithadas, the renowned late filmmaker Lohithadas' son.
