7: 11 PM, the Telugu sci-fi thriller that released to decent reviews recently, is garnering acclaim from audiences after its OTT premiere on Amazon Prime Video. He’s now co-directing a film titled Dhimahi along with Naveen Kante, a supernatural thriller whose trailer was launched this week.

The story of Dhimahi revolves around a child prodigy Mahi who goes missing. Her parents are devastated by the news but the girl’s uncle Dr Karthik goes out all out to find her and communicate one last time. While the premise may sound like an investigation procedural drama, the film delves deep into a rarely explored concept - necromancy - a supernatural practice of interacting with the dead.
The pivotal character Karthik is so selfless that he doesn’t mind putting his life in danger to talk to his loved one. Dhimahi is packed with emotions, thrills, romance and is mounted on a decent scale. The film, despite dealing with a familiar premise of a do-gooder protagonist standing up for his family, packs enough novelty to pique your interest.
Nikhitha Chopra, Ashika Pagadala, Soujanya Kasina, Virat Kapur, Jd Cherukuru, Sreejith Gangadharan essay other key roles in the film. Vamsi Davuluri, Ritu Chhina, Bhumika Patel, Sushma Kapase form the supporting cast. The film’s tagline ‘Jaya Jaya Hei Mahishasura Mardhini’ suggests a devotional angle to the story too. With its technical finesse, Dhimahi promises a good big-screen viewing.
Virat Kapur And Saahas Pagadala have produced the film under Captain Cook Films. Santhosh Kamireddy is the editor of Dhimahi, while Sharon Raavi is the composer. Rah Sharma has cranked the camera and Zee Music has acquired the audio rights. Cita Permata and Sushma Kapase are the production designers. Dhimahi is slated for a theatrical release on October 27.
