Priyadarshan's 2007 film Dhol is one of the funniest films of all time. The film follows the lives of four young friends (Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu, Rajpal Yadav) who are jobless and wish to get rich by wooing a loaded heiress. When they find out about a young rich lady (Tanushree Dutta) in their neighborhood, they all compete to see who can woo her first. However, their stupid effort lands them into a murder mystery. The film comes with multiple twists and turns and a lot of laughter.
The thriller comedy 'Dhol' also includes some famous actors from Bollywood as the supporting cast. The film also stars Om Puri, Arbaaz Khan, Abhimanyu Singh, Payal Rohatgi, Murli Sharma, Tiku Talsania, Asrani, Farida Dadi, Rasika Joshi, and Tarina Patel in important roles. Although it received mixed responses from critics upon release, it was well-received at the box office. The film, which was made under the budget of Rs 14 crores earned more than Rs 23 crore at the box office and became a success.
