Dhoom Dhaam has begun streaming on Netflix since Friday and it has been receiving mixed reactions from the critics and the viewers alike. The chase film features Yami Gautam Dhar and Pratik Gandhi in the lead roles. Dhoom Dhaam expertly combines comedic elements, tension, adventure, and romance under the direction of Rishab Seth.

Family arrangements and the family build-up

Gandhi portrays Veer Khurana, a shy Ahmedabad veterinarian with modest marriage aspirations. In contrast to Koyal Chadda, he is a vegetarian, claustrophobic, acrophobic, timid, dimwitted, and very careful. Gautam portrays a vibrant, raucous, and spirited Mumbai girl who secretly participates in drag racing during the night. She delights in disobeying her parents' curfews.

They exchange vows in a prearranged wedding. However, their first night together does not unfold as expected. Instead of having a romantic night, the couple engages in a gun pursuit, accompanied by flying bullets and near-death experiences. In the midst of the disaster, Veer and Koyal learn more about each other.

Shortly after their first meeting, the priest informs the couple's family that they must marry within two weeks. Khushwant Kapoor, Koko's maternal uncle, is also introduced to us; he plays a pivotal role in the story's finale. Both sets of parents are overjoyed with the union. Veer has feelings for the timid, submissive, and attractive Koyal. Due to their overbearing families, the couple is unable to spend quality time together in the two weeks preceding their wedding.

Misunderstood gesture

Despite the couple's best efforts, they are unable to arrange a private meeting. In order to pick up some "Shagun," Veer stopped by the mall. He discovered Khushwant, Koyal's uncle, who appeared to be in a hurry. He visits her house to deliver the five bags after engaging in brief small talk. For his future bride, he also brings lilies. Koyal has a strong dislike for lilies, but Veer has never had the chance to spend quality time with her, so he is unaware of this. Conversely, the family dog Touché devoured all of the flowers, suggesting that he enjoyed them.

At last, the big day arrives: their wedding. Before the unexpected ring of the doorbell on their first night as husband and wife, everything seems to be proceeding smoothly. Two weird men knock on Veer's door and ask the movie's most crucial question: Where is Charlie? Suddenly, two guys storm the house and demand that the couple tell them where Charlie is. Koyal unleashes her daring side in an attempt to evade the two men, while Veer makes vain attempts to de-escalate the situation.

Koyal's hidden identity

He receives a call from his mom following an exciting adventure in which Koyal drives backward through the crowded streets of Mumbai. An unfamiliar man asks the same question, then informs Veer that his family is in a hostage situation at his wife's farmhouse. On the phone, the ferocious Koyal swore off the man, but Veer wants to handle the situation calmly and civilly. The transformation of the submissive woman into a fearless Koyal takes him aback.

The look of horror on his face constantly gets deeper when Koyal brings to light the fact that she has been the undisputed champion of drag races for the past 1.5 years, uses pirate slang, and gets drunk and single-handedly defeats goons who dare to confront her.

Mystery of Charlie

Meanwhile, who is Charlie? At last, they have the answer they've been seeking. Sanjay Ribeiro, a CID officer, calls Veer and gives him a rundown of what happened.

Evidently, a group of unscrupulous law enforcement officials plots a crime in order to embezzle illicit funds. All of the theft happened right outside of Khushwant's store. The second party saved the surveillance film on a flash drive emblazoned with the likeness of the legendary Charlie Chaplin. After realising that the police were the true offenders, he turned it over to them. In their pursuit of the pen drive, the cops catch up with him.

Khushwant meets Veer in a mall while he is trying to evade the police. Undercover, he places the Charlie pen drive in one of Veer's "Shagun" bags. Despite thrashing Khushwant, the police are unable to locate the pen drive. It has finally dawned on them that Veer has the Charlie pen drive.

In order to find Charlie, Veer and Koyal must first find the five bags. As a result, the two men who remain anonymous are pursuing them closely. The kidnappers have requested the couple to deliver the luggage to a specific location so they can rescue their families, ensuring a thrilling night of searching for Charlie before 8 AM the following morning. Throughout the night, Veer and Koko scour the streets of Mumbai in search of all the luggage. They get closer to Charlie with each bag, but they get even closer on the journey.

Newfound connection

Veer, who had hoped for a submissive wife, unexpectedly finds himself smitten with the fearless, independent, and untamed Koyal. He finally breaks free of the self-consciousness that has plagued him for so long. Surprisingly, they get close and compensate for each other's flaws.

Witnessing Koyal's abduction was the final trigger for Veer. He was prepared to run away to save her when the two mysterious men from the beginning reappeared. Veer threatens to inform CID officer Sanjay Ribeiro about their whereabouts if they do not stop. Inspector Sachin Bhide and Inspector Harshwardhan Sathe are indeed from the CID. The latter informs Veer that Sanjay is the true criminal who tricked him and orchestrated the theft. Additionally, he wants Charlie to remove any and all proof that could implicate him. He has abducted Khushwant and Koyal.

Before 8 in the morning, Veer must locate Charlie to see if he wants Koyal returned. Then it hit him: the family Touché had eaten Charlie by mistake while they were eating the lilies earlier. Before he meets Sanjay, he administers laxatives to the dogs. Upon receiving Veer's signal, the entire CID squad immediately takes cover in a caravan nearby, ready to attack Sanjay.

Climactic showdown

Charlie is within Touché's stomach, as Veer tells Sanjay. At the same time, Koyal confronts each man in the room, accusing them of tying her up. Veer maintains his composure to prevent the deadly situation from worsening. On the other hand, a man smacks Koyal, which makes Veer furious and blind. Beating Sanjay and his soldiers is a brave deed that Veer pulls off. There are a lot of amusing moments in the tumultuous brawl, and Koyal ends up falling for Veer. The thrilling and excruciating first night of marriage for Veer and Koyal comes to a close when the CID arrives to apprehend Sanjay and his accomplices.

Finally, in the last scene, Veer and Koyal get the chance to relive their first night together. But the scene cuts to black when the doorbell rings once more.
