The combination of Pawan Kumar and music composer Poornachandra Tejaswi has yielded multiple memorable soundtracks that have stood the test of time. What began in 2013 through Lucia, the collaborative effort has taken newer shapes and forms over the years and conceived a distinct soundscape that listeners have come to vastly enjoy.

This time around, Pawan and Poornachandra Tejaswi are dabbling in new territory as Dhoomam, their maiden Malayalam endeavour, gears up for a theatrical release. Dhoomam is the same project that was meant to take off as C10H14N2 many years ago and many would remember that the composer had even produced an alluring track that featured the hook line 'Dhoomaaa'.

Well, the same hook line and the old melody are back in a more accentuated manner as the makers release the entire music album of Dhoomam. Having released the first single (Theeye Dhaahamo in Malayalam and Enu Maadide in Kannada) only a couple of dates, Pawan Kumar & Co. are here with the album that consists of three tracks. A compact collection, no doubt, which includes the aforementioned title track and the Enu Maadide single in two variants (male and female vocals).

Dhoomam title track, along with the rest of the album, is now able to stream on YouTube Music. The makers also released the single in a lyrical video form on June 19.

Speaking to OTTplay, Pawan Kumar said that he chose to retain the tune which was originally composed in 2014 because of how well it suited the world of his film. "It has aged really well," he adds.

As far as the film is concerned, Dhoomam will release in theatres on June 23 and will make the Malayalam debut of both Pawan Kumar and Hombale Films. Fahadh Faasil stars in the film along with Aparna Balamurali, Roshan Mathew, Vineeth, Achyuth Kumar and others.
