Actor Vikram's long-delayed Dhruva Natchathiram is finally gearing up for release on November 24. The film, directed by Gautham Menon, has been lying in the cans for a while and it was only earlier this year that the work resumed on the pending project.

Film censored, runtime out
Now the latest we hear is that the film has been cleared with the U/A certificate by the Censor Board. The action-entertainer's runtime has been revealed as 2 hours and 25 minutes. According to the censor certificate that's doing the rounds on social media, 11 scenes have been either reduced, modified, muted or replaced. The makers had revealed the release date recently.

Film put in the backburner
Dhruva Natchathiram, which is billed as a spy thriller, has been long in the making. The film was first supposed to be made with Suriya and the team had even locked in the cast and crew. Later, the duo parted ways after Suriya alleged that multiple changes were made in the script. After the release of Yennai Arindhaal (2015), Vikram came on board.

The film's shoot began in 2017 but languished in production. In mid-August, Gautham dropped a cryptic post which read 'Stars will align", along with a picture with Vikram. He later completed the remaining portions this year. Harris Jayaraj, too, revealed that he was working on the film's music.

Gautham Menon's first outing of 2023
Dhruva Natchathiram will be the director's maiden project of the year. His last outing was Silambarasan TR's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. However, Gautham Menon is busy as an actor and has appeared in a number of films, including Pathu Thala, Viduthalai Part 1, Takkar, web series Mathagam and the upcoming film, Leo to name a few.

Vikram, on the other hand, is awaiting the release of Pa Ranjith's Thangalaan, which has become one of the most anticipated projects of the actor. Vikram was last seen in Mani Ratnam's magnum opus, Ponniyin Selvan.
