The Hindi spy thriller Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge continues to spark conversations and draw criticisms even as it storms its way into the box office. Amid this, ace Telugu filmmaker SS Rajamouli has come forward in support of the film, praising Ranveer Singh’s masterclass acting. He was also in awe of filmmaker Aditya Dhar for making a movie that is four hours long.
SS Rajamouli took to his social media on March 21 to complement Dhurandhar 2, the sequel to Ranveer Singh’s 2025 blockbuster film. While admitting that he loved the first part, he said that the latest film ‘surpassed the original in both scale and soul’. He praised every aspect of the film, stating writing, casting, technical execution, music, world design and direction are flawless.
“You hit it out of the park. It takes guts to make and release a film 4 hours long. The audience is glued to the seat till the last frame,” he wrote on Twitter, tagging Aditya Dhar.
The RRR director also lavished praise on Hindi actor Ranveer Singh’s performance. “The sequence with the sister in the shed is a masterclass in acting. From that beginning to the heart-wrenching climax, you mesmerized us both as Hamza and Jaskirat,” he added.
The third Dhurandhar artiste he praised was Madhavan, stating, “you carried the helplessness and frustration of a nation so well that we felt your success as ours”.
Earlier, Telugu stars Mahesh Babu and Jr NTR had also showered praise on the action-packed Hindi thriller.
On the other hand, Rajamouli is busy with the filming of his upcoming movie Varanasi, starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The Telugu film, hailed as a magnum opus, is slated to release in 2027.

Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is the sequel to the spy thriller Dhurandhar, which released on December 5, 2026. The sequel was released just three months after on March 19, which caused several other big films to defer their releases, including Telugu star Ram Charan’s Peddi. Director Aditya Dhar is once again back at the helm of Dhurandhar 2, which continues to follows intelligence agent Jaskirat Singh Rangi as he is sent for covert missions across the border. Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Sara Arjun, are also part of the film, which also depicts several geo-political issues.
