Danish Iqbal, who plays the role of Bade Sahab in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, almost feared being replaced by bigger names like Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi. The actor, who was certain that he was the mystery in Dhurandhar 2, suddenly wasn’t so sure he would play the part. Thus, he almost took action to ensure he is in the movie. Here’s what he said…

Post Dhurandhar’s release, the speculation around who plays Bade Sahab grew. Names like Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi started making the rounds. In fact, some photos of Salman Khan also went viral and reached Danish Iqbal. In panic, he almost took action to ensure he was a part of the movie. “When so many names surfaced about playing Dawood, I thought of calling Aditya Dhar to check if he had replaced me,” Danish told Zoom. The actor was, in fact, uncertain whether Dawood was Bade Sahab or another character was. This is mostly because Dawood was bedridden in Dhurandhar 2.
“I didn’t know Dawood was Bade Sahab. There was no chat about Bade Sahab at that time. I was just told that I’ll play Dawood. He’s bedridden, and all his scenes will take place in that setting. But I did not have the clarity about Bade Sahab. When his name surfaced in the script as someone Ranveer’s character was looking for, even we started wondering who Bade Sahab was. There was a discussion about whether he was Pervez Musharraf or Osama bin Laden. That’s when I wondered if Dawood was Bade Sahab,” the actor added.
Dhurandhar: The Revenge, released in theatres, has been making history at the Box Office. The movie has minted Rs. 300 crores within three days of its release. It is expected to earn Rs. 400 crores or more by the end of the weekend.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar featured Ranveer Singh in the lead role with Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, Arjun Rampal, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, Rakesh Bedi, Gaurav Gera and others in pivotal roles.
