Diana Penty says it was ‘so much fun’ working with Dulquer Salmaan on Salute

Diana Penty is awaiting the release of Dulquer Salmaan’s Salute, which marks her debut in Malayalam cinema. The actor has now shared what it was like to work with Dulquer. 

During an interactive Q and A session with her followers on Instagram, Penty was asked about her experience of working with Dulquer. 

“It was so much fun working with DQ. This was my first Malayalam film and he helped me with all my dialogues. On that note, I want to tell you to please watch Salute, as it is releasing on the 18th of March.” she replied. 

Written by the duo of Bobby-Sanjay, the investigative thriller is directed by Rosshan Andrrews. Dulquer will be seen essaying the role of a police officer, who is working on the most challenging case in his career. 

While Penty plays the leading lady in the movie, Salute also stars Manoj K Jayan, Lakshmi Gopalaswami, Sania Iyyappan, Alansier, Binu Pappu, Vijayakumar, and Saikumar in supporting roles. 

Salute was initially preparing for a theatrical release, and was scheduled to release on January 14. This was pushed back due to the rising number of COVID-19 cases and the makers later decided to go the OTT route. Salute is set to premiere on SonyLIV on March 18. 

Penty, who made her acting debut with the highly successful romantic drama Cocktail, was last seen in Shiddat, which is available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar. The actor is also working on Adbhut. 

Dulquer last appeared in Brinda’s Hey Sinamika, which received mixed reactions from the fans. He is also working on R Balki’s film, Chup: Revenge Of The Artist .
