It has been two days since the release of Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal theatrically. The movie has successfully earned over Rs 100 crores at the box office despite receiving harsh criticism for its violent content. Not only this, but it is rare to know that an adult-rated film has been declared as a blockbuster. Amidst such development, a video of superstar Aamir Khan has gone viral on social media wherein he criticizes those filmmakers who make violent films for mass audiences.

Aamir Khan’s viral video

In a viral video, Aamir Khan can be seen lashing out at those who love to make violence-driven films. He said, “These are a few emotions that are very easy to provoke in the audience. Violence is one of these emotions and sex is another. These two emotions are most easy to provoke in a human being. The directors who aren’t that talented in creating a story and in showing emotions and creating situations, they depend heavily on violence and sex to make their films work. They think that if they show a lot of violence and sex in the film their film will be successful.”

“I think this is a very wrong thinking. They may get success sometimes by doing this, but this harms society very much and I think it is a wrong thing to do,” he said.

Reportedly, Aamir said this at an event which took place a decade ago. Present at the event with a clean-shaven look, Aamir Khan, the renowned superstar, emphasized the moral responsibility of individuals within the film industry. He pointed out that those involved in cinema, including the audience and young viewers, bear a certain moral responsibility as their choices can influence minds.
