Did Kartik Aaryan refuse Border 2 because of THIS reason?

It was reported that Kartik Aaryan was approached for Border 2, only to then learn that he is no longer a part of the project. The actor reportedly refused to be a part of the project for reasons that were unknown so far. However, we have learnt that there was a specific reason why Kartik did not associate himself with the JP Dutta directorial film. He left many fans and peers confused with his decision but we hear that there was a reason he went ahead and said no to the project.

So, why did he decline the offer?

A report on Zoom suggests that Kartik is not interest in a project which has an ensemble cast. He is looking for roles with the single male lead. Since Border also had five lead actors, Border 2 would be something similar. Thus, it appears, that Kartik rejected the film.

Not shut down the offer completely

It looks like Kartik has not shut down the offer completely though. The actor has told JP Dutta that he would love to collaborate on a project with him. The two could potentially explore a single-hero project in the future. However, the focus currently is Border 2.

Who all are a part of Border 2?

Border 2 discussions began with Sunny Deol, after the success of Gadar 2. Thus, he is definitely in the movie even this time. He is the only actor from the original film so far. Ayushmann Khurrana, Ammy Virk and Ahaan Shetty seem to be finalized for the project. There is still no update on who will be the female protagonists in the movie. The original film starred Pooja Bhatt, Tabu and Sharbani Mukherjee. Since Kuldeep (Sunny’s character) is back, Tabu is also likely to be a part of this film. Whether Rakhee Gulzar comes back as Dharamvir (Akshaye Khanna)’s mother, remains to be seen.
