The stunning Deepika Padukone had once said that Hrithik Roshan is nothing less than death by chocolate! Ever since then, the cinegoers started manifesting a film which stars the two stunning actors of Bollywood viz., Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. And it was Sidharth Anand who took the onus of getting the two on the silver screen for a film titled ‘Fighter’, which was touted to be India’s first film on aerial stunts!

The latest update is that the film will be streamed on OTT major Netflix on March 21. And the USP of this streaming will be that it will also include scenes and songs which were deleted/ edited from the theatrical version of the film. Even though the film did decent business (if not outstanding) at the box office, there were a handful of people who were not too amused with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone's Fighter. Story plot:
The film, which has been set in the seventies era, is about a daredevil RAW agent Amandeep Ajitpal Singh aka Tariq (played by Sidharth Malhotra), who lands up using the girl whom he married (played by Rashmika Mandanna) as a cover in his mission. And for the unversed, his mission was to eventually expose a clandestine nuclear facility which rooted its base to Pakistan. The film was definitely high on the patriotism factor!

Story plot:
Till date, the Janhvi Kapoor starrer Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is considered to be one of the most patriotic films on the silver screen. The film is about the life and life’s story of the never-say-never Gunjan Saxena, whose sole mission in life is to become a pilot. 

And in this struggle of achieving her dreams, life refuses to be easy and lays a bed of thorns in the form of countless obstacles which try to act as a roadblock. But, with her sheer grit, determination and a never-say-never attitude towards life, Gunjan Saxena not only achieves her dream of becoming a pilot, but also serves her country when it needs her the most!

Story plot:
Even the mere utterance of the term ‘patriotism’, memories about Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s blockbuster Rang De Basanti immediately springs up. Such is the impact that the film has on the minds of the cinegoers. The film’s plot mirrors the lives of a bunch of thickest graduate friends (led by Aamir Khan’s character) of the Delhi University and who find immense pleasure in roaming around the college’s sprawling campus.

One fine day, these friends get approached by a British filmmaker (played by Alice Patten) who decides to cast them all in a film that she is making about freedom fighters under the British rule. Even though the said group of friends refrain from any political affiliations, life changes for them totally after a close friend of theirs passes away because of corruption in the local government. Post that, life is just not the same for these friends whose patriotic fervour gets ignited ferociously as they together decide to seek revenge for their friend’s death.

Story plot:
This is one of the premier films which has been written with a pen that had been dipped in the ink of love for one’s country. The film is about a desi-born-videsi-working NASA scientist Mohan Bhargava (played by Shah Rukh Khan). Life takes an unexpected turn for him when he comes to India in serach of his most loved granny Kaaveri amma (Kishori Ballal).

It is during his stay in India he encounters many harsh realities of life about which he was totally unaware of. In the bargain, he finds himself at a threshold of a high paying corporate dream career on one side and love, emotions and patriotism on the other. Eventually, which side will he bend towards is what forms the rest of the film.

Story plot:
This film, till date, finds resonance with many cinegoers (mostly with the youth), thanks to its arresting and compelling storyline that revolves around Karan (Hrithik Roshan) and his aimless life. Even though he joins the NDA (National Defence Academy) just for the lark, he returns back home as a loser and a quitter. Seeing this, his girlfriend of many years (played by Preity Zinta) leaves him. 

By default, she lands up kindling the ‘missing grit’ in him to go back to NDA and come back as a true-blue soldier. As a result of which, Karan returns back home as a soldier, who eventually lands up achieving the impossible dream for his country!
