There was buzz that Haseena Parkar actor Shraddha Kapoor got replaced in Rahi Anil Barve's upcoming movie owing to a high salary demand. A day into the news breaking the internet, the Tumbbad director seems to have hinted that it is far from the truth. He asked people to wait for an official confirmation, when reports suggest that the search for a new actress to replace Shraddha is on (once producer Ekta Kapoor suggested that the search for a new actress be on after hearing the demand).

Rahi Anil Barve's response to reports about Shraddha Kapoor

Taking to X (formely Twitter), Rahi Anil Barve penned, "Please don’t believe any of the rumours currently floating all over the media. We’ll be making an official announcement at the right time. Thank you."

He was asked to comment on the matter, and the director did reach out to ETimes. "Right now all I can say is that I’m finishing Rakt Brahmand. I am working on my next. That’s it," he was quoted saying. For the uninitiated, Rakt Brahmand is Rahi Anil Barve’s next with Aditya Roy Kapur which was reportedly on the backburner over producers Raj and DK being involved in a financial scam.

The report on Shraddha Kapoor

According to the report on PeepingMoon, ABCD 2 actor Shraddha Kapoor demanded fees of Rs. 17 crore and a share of the profits. Pavitra Rishta 2.0 producer Ekta Kapoor felt that it was too massive an ask and thus, decided to replace the actress. None of the makers had spoken on the matter thus far.

Shraddha Kapoor's upcoming projects

Shraddha Kapoor is the leading face of Stree franchise and thus, the upcoming Stree 3 is among her much-awaited movies. The film, however, would be out in 2027. She is also a part of the Naagin trilogy directed by Vishal Furia. The actress appears to be in talks for another project but nothing is confirmed on that front so far.
