Did Upendra just confirm Aamir Khan’s presence in Coolie? ‘Yes, I have combination scenes with…’

Coolie, starring and headlined by actor Rajinikanth is undoubtedly one of the much-anticipated Tamil film of 2025. Rajinikanth will be joining hands with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for the first time, creating big expectations from the film. On top of it, Coolie also stars some big names like Upendra and Nagarjuna. In the latest, Upendra who is currently promoting his Kannada film 45, dropped some major confirmations, and it has got to do with the involvement of Aamir Khan. Did Upendra just confirm Aamir Khan’s presence in Coolie?

Upendra, who is currently promoting his upcoming film 45, will be seen in a crucial role in Tamil film Coolie. Headlined by Enthiran actor Rajinikanth, and helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Coolie is a star-studded ensemble put together by the filmmaker and will have actors hailing from all industries. There is Sathyaraj, Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan and more. While the presence of these stalwarts has been confirmed by the makers, the team did not confirm one speculation of Aamir Khan’s involvement.

But Upendra seems to have taken it upon himself to give out some details about the PK star presence in Coolie. Recently at 45 event held in Hyderabad, Upendra said that he accepted Coolie only for Rajinikanth who is his ‘Dhronacharya’ while he is ‘Eklavya’. “I did not ask anything. Lokesh came and narrated the story, but standing next to him (Rajinikanth) is enough for me. He is Dhronacharya to my Eklavya. He has given a lot of enlightenment when he gave entertainment to others. I am very blessed.” Further when asked about Nagarjuna and Aamir Khan’s presence, he affirmed it and said he has combination scenes with them. “Yeah, there are combination scenes with them.”

Coolie release date:

Coolie will follow the Jailer route and will capitalise on the Independence Day weekend. The film will hit theatres on August 14. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. Coolie will not fall under Lokesh’s LCU universe.
