Did you know? 5 times Deepika Padukone rejected a film opposite Salman Khan

Remember the time Deepika Padukone and Hrithik Roshan confirmed that they will soon be seen in an action-packed film together? Fans welcomed the announcement with love and heaps of praise. Deepika and Hrithik will soon be seen in action-drama Fighter 3 which is slated to be released in January 2024. This upcoming film is being directed by Siddharth Anand.

This news development is not going to diffuse anytime soon.

And now, fans are eager to watch Salman Khan paired opposite Deepika Padukone. This comes ahead of the release of Tiger 3 starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in pivotal roles. We know that this upcoming film is a part of Spy Universe created by Yash Raj Films. War, Pathaan and Fighter are also a part of the universe.

Hrithik Roshan (with War), Shah Rukh Khan (with Pathaan) and Deepika Padukone (with Pathaan) are already a part of this universe. In Pathaan and soon-in Tiger 3, Shah Rukh and Salman shared a screen space. In Fighter and Pathaan, Deepika is present on-screen sans Salman in a frame.

However, fans now demand that Salman and Deepika should soon do a movie together. Notably, they have never done a movie together. Deepika was last seen on screen with Salman on the sets of reality show Bigg Boss where she came to promote her film Gehraiyaan (in 2022).

If rumours are to be believed, Shah Rukh will be seen on screen alongside Salman and Katrina Kaif. However, fans wish to see Deepika in the same frame as well.

Though any official statement is yet to come, did you know that Deepika in the past had rejected as many as five films starring Salman Khan in the lead role. According to reports, the films were namely, Jai Ho, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Kick, Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo and Sultan.

Now only time will tell when fans can see the stars Salman and Deepika in the same frame.
