The singer's audition tape with Ryan Gosling goes viral and fans are going crazy over it
Britney Spears, The Notebook
It's been almost 2 decades, The Notebook is still fresh in our hearts. The storyline, the stellar star cast, the direction, the acting, all togther made it an epic movie. No one could have beat Ryan and Rachel's on-screen romance till date.
However, recently we learnt that before Rachel McAdams was roped in, Britney Spears auditioned for the lead role of Allie Hamilton. A video tape of her giving the audition is currently going viral on social media, where it can be seen that the casting director is saying she can beat out many of the top young actresses of the time.
What did the casting director say?
Matthew Berry told Daily Mail, “Britney beat out several of the top female actresses at the time. Scarlett Johansson, Claire Danes, Kate Bosworth, Amy Adams, Jamie King and Mandy Moore auditioned for this role. Britney beat out all of them. Everybody who was anybody that year wanted this part.”
Back then, Spears was only 21-year-old and she gave a stunning emotional display for the role of Allie. Unfortunately, the creators settled with McAdams.
Britney Spears is currently busy with her next memoir The Woman In Me, which is all set to release today, on October 24. It is published by Simon and Schuster in the UK.
