Raashi Khanna is one of the most popular heroines in south India. She has been working in films for over ten years now and has reinvented herself time and again. But did you know that Raashi rejected a number of Telugu films in her career that ended as super hits at the box office? For some, she did not like the scripts and for a few others, Raashi did not have the dates.
One of the biggest films she missed out on was the Vijay Devarakonda starrer Geeta Govindam. Eventually, Rashmika bagged the film and went on to become an overnight sensation post the success of the film. Her chemistry with Vijay Devarakonda was one of the major reasons for the film's success.
Yet another film that could have turned Raashi's career was Samantha's Majili. She was offered the role played by Divyansha Kaushik but Raashi did not like the role and rejected the film. The film became a solid hit at the box office and gave Samantha a new lease of stardom. The recently released Tamil film, Maanadu, starring Simbu was also offered to Raashi but she rejected the film due to date issues. The film was also a big hit in Tamil.
We all know what kind of fame Mehreen earned with the Venkatesh and Varun Tej starrer F2. The bubbly character she played was initially offered to Raashi but she rejected it and the rest is history. F2 went on to become one of the biggest hits in Mehreen's career giving her multiple offers in Telugu.
Last but not least, the Sharwanand starrer, Mahanubhavudu was also offered to Raashi but she couldn't do it for reasons unknown. Once again, the film fell into Mehreen's lap and ended as a big hit at the box office. Sadly, Raashi has no offers in the south now and is busy shooting for a Hindi film called Yodha. Wonder how her career would have been shaped if Raashi would have done those films. Well, Raashi's loss is someone's gain and they are not complaining one bit.
