Did you know? Sidharth Malhotra’s onscreen debut was NOT Student Of The Year but THIS show

One of the hottest hunks in Bollywood right now is Sidharth Malhotra. The Shershaah actor made his big screen debut with Karan Johar's film Student Of The Year, but very few people are aware that Sidharth worked on the movies My Name Is Khan and Dostana as an assistant director. Sidharth earlier revealed that the first film for which he went for an audition was cancelled, and Student Of The Year was only five years away.

Sidharth had previously starred in one of the reality shows on Channel V before becoming famous with Karan's SOTY. Sid was debuted as a "hot male model" on the reality and model search show "Get Gorgeous" in 2007. His task was to pose with a number of bikini-clad women.

In the episode, the actor, who had a trim build, portrayed an obedient guy who nodded and followed the photographer's instructions. Sidharth's grand entrance, in which he made an apparent shirtless appearance, had the models swooning. The actor was spotted holding two girls in each arm while uttering lines like "enjoy and just do it."

The actor had opened up about his modeling stint in an interview with Rediff.com. He said, “After school, when I entered college, I thought I would probably do an MBA like my brother did it, and get a job in finance. But I got into modelling in college and after that the ‘Bollywood bug’ bit me, not before that.”

The actor, who turned 37-year-old today was last seen in the film Thank God with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. Sidharth will next be seen in Mission Majnu opposite Rashmika Mandanna. The film is all set to release on 19th January, 2023.
