Dies Irae: Pranav Mohanlal reveals release date of his upcoming horror thriller

Pranav Mohanlal, who last starred in Varshangalkku Shesham, has teamed up with Bramayugam director Rahul Sadasivan’s next film. The title of the upcoming horror film, was revealed to be Dies Irae: The Day of Wrath recently by the makers. Now, the film’s leading man, Pranav Mohanlal, himself has revealed the release date of Dies Irea. The upcoming Malayalam film, touted to be a horror thriller, is will hit theatres this year for Halloween

Pranav Mohanlal’s Dies Irae release date

A while ago, Pranav Mohanlal took to his social media pages and revealed that his next film, helmed by Rahul Sadasivan, will be released on Halloween 2025. He also shared a grim first-look poster of the film, and said Dies Irae - this Halloween.

The post instantly garnered many likes and comments. Several fans also pointed out that Pranav’s announcement comes even as his father Mohanlal’s latest film, Thudarum, is running successfully in Kerala. Certain fans also commented about the grim and gothic vibes of the poster, remarking that it is perfect for Halloween. Some fans shared their excitement of seeing Pranav in a Rahul Sadasivan movie. Both Rahul’s previous films - Mammootty-starrer Bramayugam and Bhoothakaalam - were lauded by critics.

Notably, Dies Irea will be his third film in the horror genre after Bramayugam and Bhoothakaalam. Notably, YNOT Studios and Night Shift Studios, who had produced Bramayugam, are also backing the upcoming film.
