When Rakshit Shetty’s Paramvah Studios announced that a new venture would be revealed on September 1 and that it would be the biggest party in town, fans went into a tizzy, as they thought that the actor-filmmaker was finally ready for Kirik Party 2. Turns out that Rakshit’s planning a different party altogether with Kirik Party director Rishab Shetty.

Rakshit, as it turns out, is backing a comedy film called Bachelor Party, which will have Rishab, Diganth Manchale and Achyuth Kumar in the lead, and will be directed by Abhijit Mahesh. Rakshit, Siri Ravikumar, Achara Kirk and Prakash Thuminadu are also on the cast of the film, which will go on floors shortly. The team revealed the title and the cast today at a temple in Bengaluru. Bachelor Party has been written by Abhijit, with Arjun Ramu on music and Arvind S Kashyap on board as cinematographer.

Taking to social media to announce the title, Rakshit wrote, “@shetty_rishab @diganthmanchale and Achyuthanna are all set to take us on a fun ride with this narrative. @iAm1289 it has been a joyous passage with you as a part of Seven Odds and Paramvah. Wishing you the best for your debut. My best wishes and love to the entire team 🤗.”

Rakshit, who is winding up Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, was expected to begin work on his directorial Richard Anthony. But by the looks of it, it appears that his directorial is still on hold. Rishab, meanwhile, is fresh off the final edit of his next directorial Kantara, which is gearing up for a September 30 release. For Diganth, who was last seen in Gaalipata 2, this is a first-time collaboration with Rakshit, which fans see as a welcome move. The title reveal of animated versions of Diganth, Rishab and Achyuth in a car, with a bullet piercing through the rear windshield (presumably shot by Rakshit, who can be seen in the far distance), was reminiscent of the popular Hangover series of movies. The makers, meanwhile, promise that like Kirik Party, Bachelor Party too will be a laugh riot.
